Our Story
We’re Charlotte and Lucy, two recruitment professionals who’ve experienced the industry from different perspectives, working within agencies before venturing out to build our own businesses. While we’ve both always thrived on connecting people with the right opportunities, we quickly realised that traditional agency structures often lacked the flexibility and support we were looking for.

Lucy took the leap first, setting up her own recruitment business. It was both exciting and challenging! Building a brand, setting a vision, and navigating the risks of running a business. She soon realised that success wasn’t just about recruitment; it meant managing everything from systems and tools to contractor finance and compliance.

Charlotte’s path was a little different. She worked across various sectors before finding her place in recruitment. While she enjoyed resourcing and placing candidates, her true strength lay in the bigger picture - overseeing operations. Whether refining systems, managing business processes, or crafting growth strategies, Charlotte thrived on making sure everything behind the scenes ran smoothly.

Together, our strengths complement each other perfectly. Lucy excels in business development and building relationships, while Charlotte manages the strategic operations. By combining our skills, we’ve created a business focused on growth and long-term success.
How The Recruiter Studio Was Born
From our combined experiences and shared passion to help others, The Recruiter Studio was born. We saw that many recruiters wanted the freedom of running their own business but lacked the support to get started. With Lucy’s recruitment expertise and Charlotte’s operational know-how, we recognised an opportunity to help others navigate the challenges of setting up and growing a recruitment business.
We created The Recruiter Studio to provide mentoring, operational support, and strategic guidance to aspiring recruitment entrepreneurs.
Our aim is to give them the tools and confidence they need to build a successful, sustainable business - without having to reinvent the wheel.
Through our tailored approach, we help recruiters establish, grow, and succeed on their own terms, combining practical support with the mentorship they need to thrive.
